Wave-like nature of processes

We often imagine life as a series of separate events, yet life can also be seen as a flow of interconnected processes. While something winds down, something else begins to take shape. Recognizing this rhythm can help us act with more clarity, presence, and intention.

Life moves in waves — parallel, with different rhythms and phases. Everything — projects, companies, people, maybe life itself — follows its own cycles: beginning, growth, culmination, decline, and closure.

While one process nears its end, another is just beginning. Being aware of the stage each process is in — both around you and within you — is key to timely and intentional action.

It’s important to be able to close one process while opening another. You don’t have to wait for complete closure to begin something new — otherwise, you risk falling into a pause where there’s neither movement nor momentum. And it’s movement that brings energy and meaning.
